Attention! From July 1, 2025, Australia’s visa fees and income thresholds have changed!

Attention to everyone planning to apply for an Australian visa!
Starting from July 1, 2025, Australia has made adjustments to the application fees and income thresholds for certain visa categories.
Whether you're aiming to study, migrate, or work, these changes are closely related to you — check out the details below!

1. Visa Application Fees Increased

Key Reminder:

  • Student visas see the largest increase — students planning to study in Australia should budget an extra AUD $400.

  • Slight fee increases for skilled and partner visas — it's recommended to apply early to lock in the old rates!

2. Three Major Income Thresholds Raised — Impact on Work Visas

1. Core Skills Income Threshold (CSIT)

  • Before: AUD 73,150

  • After: AUD 76,515

  • Affected visas: Subclass 482 (Short-term stream), Subclass 186 (Employer Nomination Scheme)

2. Specialist Skills Income Threshold (SSIT)

  • Before: AUD 135,000

  • After: AUD 141,210

  • Affected visas: Subclass 482 (Specialist stream)

3. Temporary Skilled Migration Income Threshold (TSMIT)

  • Before: AUD 73,150

  • After: AUD 76,515 (aligned with CSIT)

  • Affected visas: Subclass 494 (Regional Employer Sponsored), Subclass 187 (Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme)

Key Change:

From July 1, 2025, all new nomination applications must meet the higher of either the updated income threshold or the Annual Market Salary Rate (AMSR).
Don't worry — current visa holders and nominations submitted before July 1, 2025 will not be affected.
