I Temporary Activity Visa (Subclass 408)
The Temporary Activity Visa lets you carry out one of the following activities in Australia on a temporary basis.
Undertake full-time domestic work for certain senior foreign executives
Take part in high-level sports (including training)
Work in the entertainment industry
Contribute in a special programme to boost international relations and cultural exchange
Participate in cultural or social activities at the invitation of an Australian organisation
Work or watch as an academic in a research project
Take part in an Australian Government endorsed event
Work as a Religious Worker
Get employment as a super yacht crew member
Get to work in a skilled position under a staff exchange arrangement
I Training Visa (Subclass 407)
This visa allows you to stay in Australia for up to 2 years, taking part in workplace-based occupational training activities to improve your skills for your job, area of tertiary study, field of expertise or in a professional development training program in Australia.
I Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) Visa (Subclass 400)
The Highly Specialised Work stream of this temporary visa lets you do short-term, highly specialised work in Australia. It is suitable if you have specialised skills, knowledge or experience not generally available in Australia.
This visa can be granted for up to 6 months (depending on the circumstances). Generally, for a stay period longer than 3 months, a strong business case must be provided with the application.
You can't apply for this visa in Australia or stay longer by extending this visa.
I Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)
This visa is for international students who have recently graduated in Australia. It lets you live, study and work in Australia temporarily.
For the Graduate Work Stream, the qualifications the applicant completed must be relevant to specific occupations Australia needs. The visa allows you to stay up to 18 months. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years.
For the Post-Study Work Stream, a degree from an Australian institution is sufficient. The visa allows you to stay between 2 and 4 years, depending on your qualification. Hong Kong and British National Overseas passport holders may stay for 5 years.
I Skilled - Recognised Graduate Visa (Subclass 476)
This visa allows recent engineering graduates to live, work or study in Australia for up to 18 months. You must have completed a degree or higher qualification from a specified institution within the past 2 years, and be under 31 years of age.
I Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417)
This visa lets people 18 to 30 years old (or 35 years old for some countries) have their first extended holiday in Australia and work here to help fund their trip.
